We are a group of professional and dedicated amateur musicians united in the love of chamber music. Through our monthly meetings, we provide performance opportunities as well as a friendly and discerning audience to the members.
MPG meets monthly from September through May, usually at a member’s residence in the Puget Sound area. Meetings are always on the second Wednesday of the month and start at 10:30 a.m. A meeting consists of an hour of performance, followed by a brief business meeting and light lunch.
The group was initially formed in 1951 as Lake Washington Music Study Group. We have been meeting continuously ever since. We changed the name to Music Performance Group in 1986.
We hold our meetings at various venues in the Greater Seattle metropolitan area. We welcome new members. If you are interested in joining, please go to the Membership page under the tab "MORE".
